Holy See, Holy Do
Objective: Capture or sack the seats of the remaining Metropolitan Bishops of Britannia: Lindum, Eboracum, and Londinium.
Description: A Church without leadership is like a body without a head. The Christians may not lash out at us if they do not know who they are. To this end, we must eliminate what remains of the authority of the Christian Church in this land.
Reward: For every Metropolitan See ravaged or conquered, the moral authority of Celtic Paganism will greatly increase, making it easier to convert others, and harder for your own faith to be converted.
-----------------------------------------
Emrys
Objective: Deal with Bishop Emrys.
Description: A Bishop within your own kingdom opposes your rule, he must be dealt with.
Options: Emrys may be left to carry on his duties unharmed, which will gain paganism the moral highground but little else. You may also order his tongue to be removed, which will decrease his Christian following, but entrench their beliefs. He may be killed, making him a martyr, which will decrease the number of Christians in Pagenses but increase their zeal. You may choose to sacrifice him to the gods by burning him alive in a wicker man; this being the most extreme demonstration of the power of the Celtic gods, it will inspire awe and fear, converting a great many, but will cause the Christian lords of Britannia to despise you.
-------------------------------------------
Deisi Chain
Objective: Conquer or subjugate Deceanglia and Demetia.
Description: We now share a common faith with the people that were once seen as a blight on the land. Perhaps we should force them to be our vassals, or incorporate their kingdoms into our own, rather than expelling or slaughtering them? It would also restore some honour to Gwrtheyrn's name.
Reward: 5,000 Irish mercenaries, restored legitimacy.
---------------------------------------------
Conquer Ergyng
Objective: Conquer Ariconium/Ergyng
Description: Our Christian neighbour is weak and small, a perfect opportunity to show the superiority of the Celtic gods over the Roman God.
Reward: Increased moral authority for Celtic Paganism (easier conversion, harder to be converted)
--------------------------------------
Restore the Druidic Order
Objective: Conquer Ynys Mon (Isla Mona) and grant it to the Druids.
Description: The Druids were once the awe of the land, from Britannia into the lands of the distant Boii. By establishing an independent centre of the Celtic Pagan faith, we will increase its authority in Britannia.
Reward: Increased moral authority for Celtic Paganism in Britannia (easier conversion, harder to be converted).
-----------------------------------------
Sponsor a Pelagian Chronicle
Objective: Give 1,000 Aurei to a monastic centre within your kingdom to write a chronicle sympathetic to your kingship and dynasty, as well as portraying the history of Britain as dependent on the correct worship of Christ, with bad events often connected with the embrace of heretical doctrines such as 'original sin'.
Description: History isn't written by the winners, or by the losers. It's written by whatever suckers step back from the world to write about the deeds of greater men. If we give the write monks paper, libraries, and time, we can make sure that any books read by the great literate nobles of Britannia will reinforce your own beliefs.
Reward: Pelagianism will be far harder to supplant from any British province it is established in. In addition, this decision will have the side effect of establishing whichever site you choose as an important religious centre, and its founder will undoubtedly become an important saint. Pairing this with the metropolitan see could be powerful, or maybe establishing a tiny backwater, such as Meneva in western Britannia Prima, as an important religious site will have its own advantages.
---------------------------------------------
A Pelagian Pope
Objective: 1. Capture either Londinium, Lindum, Eboracum, or Corinium (part of the Kingdom of Glevum).
2. Establish a city of your choice from within your realm as the Metropolitan See for all of Britannia*.
*Cities with imperial prestige will be more easily accepted, such as Caerleon (former capital), Camulodunum (former capital), Verulanium (burial place of St. Alban), Londinium (former capital), Lindum (former capital), Eboracum (former capital), Deva (former legionary fort).
Description: After the official adoption of Pelagianism, we must partner the apparatus of the kingdom with the apparatus of the Church, and create a religious Unben Prydain. From here, we might liberate all four episcopal sees from Roman Britannia, and install proper Pelagian Archbishops.
Reward: Pelagianism will spread like wildfire in the province of the new Archbishop.
----------------------------------------------
IMPERIVM
Objective: Defeat the King of the North in battle.
Description: Coel Hen claims imperium over the whole isle of Britannia, proudly wearing the title Dux Britannorum. Gwrtheyrn, too, claims to be the true successor to Roman power and rightful wielder of imperium. This small isle is only large enough for one imperator, and we can no longer afford to allow the allegiances of the Britons to be cleft in twain.
Reward: Gwrtheyrn will be acknowledged to hold imperium over all the Britons, and many will join his retinue. The kingdom of the north will split if Coel is killed.
----------------------------------------------
Angles and Saxons and Jutes (oh my!)
Objective: Settle Germanic foederati on Thanet as foederati.
Description: It's not easy being High King, and raiders ravage the coasts of this fair isle on all sides. It is time to fight raider with raider, adopting the tried and testing Roman methods of defence to make your enemy your protector. If we settle a small band on a small island we might better protect the Britons.
Reward: 3,000 Saxon Foederati for your warband.

How to solve a problem like Pelagius [COMPLETED]
Objective: Choose an official stance.
Description: Pelagius, a controversial son of Britannia, has spread a heresy which is condemned throughout the empire, but thrives still in southern Italy and in your lands. The issue has become a topic of conversation in your hall and in the palace of the pontiff in Rome. If you truly wish for mastery of these isles, you must have the support of the clergy.
Options:
Embrace Pelagianism
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, and so you cast it for you are without original sin. A much nicer theology all-round, you decide to adopt Pelagianism and sponsor Pelagian clergy. This option will allow further missions to establish a Pelagian Archbishopric to unite the provincial clergy, and to generally cement its hold in Britannia.
We do things our own way
The Britons have a long and thriving Christian tradition, and we cannot afford to endanger it with such heresies. Throwing out all who preach Pelagian teachings and decrying it as heresy will allow Gwrtheyrn to pursue a mission chain to become a Celtic saint and to unite the British Church.
-------------------------------------------
Limes Scotiae (Part I)
Objective: Evict the Gwyddels from Deceanglia.
Description: On your very doorstep barbarian Scoti run amuck, raiding, pillaging and causing all sorts of vile desecration to be done to the sacred sites of fair Britannia. See to it that they trouble you no more.
Options:
[Requires completion of 'IMPERIVM' mission] Recruit the warlike Votadini
The men of the Votadini tribe, now calling themselves Guotodini or the Goddodin, have a fierce reputation, and also an honourable one. If they knew of the sacrilege daily committed by Scoti in Deceanglia they would surely put it right. By invited them to seize Deceanglia, a group of young Votadini adventurers may return it to British control and protect it from further incursions.
Subjugate Deceanglia
We may conquer the Scoti and subject them to civilised laws and true religion. By conquering Deceanglia we will have access to Irish levies, as those settlers that remain under your law can have their wildness redirected at your foes.
Make them an offer they can't refuse
By paying the strongest among them to serve as Foederati, we can set up Deceanglia as a march to protect against Irish raids. This will cost 1,000 Aurei but will allow the Scoti of north Wales to settle in peace and protect against further Irish raids, as well as acknowledging your suzerainty.
