The Regent begins preparations for the creation of an Officium per Cursi Publicum or "Office for the Public Post" which will take over control of the management of the Agentes in Rebus, the post men and dispatch carriers of the Empire. Of course, they also were the secret police and security service, but that need not be pointed out...
The office will only be created when a suitable reason is found to replace the current Master of Offices (retirement, misconduct, or another high office opening up for them to be moved sideways into), and it will be handed to a Eunuch (the Master of Offices himself will remain in the hands of the Senatorial faction, as is right and proper). The Regent will sleep easier in his bed when a Roman aristocrat no longer controls the Imperial agents...
