A three-way contest seems to be emerging in Illyria and Pannonia, as Germanic Arian priests tour the provinces proselytising, and groups of monks and priests arrive from Constantinople for the same purpose, employed by the city's Patriarch.
It is also rumoured that an unnamed Lombard prince has been exchanging letters with the Bishop of Rome, and Latin priests could soon be added to the contest. Lethuc himself seems disinterested, and his questions seem mostly to revolve around whether he can keep his magic tree, whether he can bend the rules on monogamy, whether he can eat pork, and whether he has to chop off the end of his penis.
