Hunnic messengers arrive at Sclava, armed for battle, lead by a man wearing a shirt made of human skins, with scarred cheeks and long greying hair. The messengers were clearly intended to look fearsome, and perhaps a little demonic, but they were just men. They fire arrows over the wall in wild patterns, to get the attention of as many Slavs as possible, before announcing their demands.
Ivaylo is to feed and water the Hunnic army as it passes. He is to provide Sclavenian wives for the chiefs of the Kutrigurs. He is to hand over all stockpiled treasures, to the value of 1,100 Aurei. He is to travel east to prostrate himself before the Khan, Uldin, or otherwise send a representative of his blood to do so. He is to provide a close relative as a hostage to live in the court of King Uldin.
Above all, he is to tear down the fortifications at Sclava, and in future is forbidden to build any fortifications taller than a man on horseback, and thicker than a single row of palisades.
Uldin is unhappy with Ivaylo's pretensions, but is willing to offer Ivaylo a peaceful existence as king of the Sclavenes in return for these concessions.
The Hunnic ambassadors speed off as quickly as they arrived, and the scouts that had no doubt been following them are free to stand down, or to attack them as they flee.
If the Huns don't receive their treasure by the time the horde arrives, they promise to devastate the lands of Sclavenia.
Kutrigur Army:

3,000 Germanic Nobles
10,000 Heruli
